Banana Diet

Hello everyone~

Everyone knows that Japanese people are completely obsessed with diets. (no offense to any japanese people. I'm Japanese myself) Well, there was this new diet in Japan called the Banana Diet, and apparently, it was REALLY popular. In fact, it was so popular, that grocery stores everywhere were running out of bananas because everyone was buying them. If you want to read more about it, here's a website. [link]
Ok, so my friend :iconcordian: wrote in her journal that she was going to go on a diet. I told her about the Banana Diet, and she said that she's going to try it out. And of course, with every diet, there are RULES. So, for all of you that want to try it out, i've listed all of the rules below (in my own words, of course) :) But remember. No diet works for everybody.




~RULES~



-Eat a banana for breakfast.-

* You can eat more than one. In fact the inventor of the diet often ate four (smallish Philippines) bananas in the morning, but don't stuff yourself to the point where you can't eat another bite. Moderation is key.

*Eat only raw, uncooked, unfrozen bananas.




-Drink only water-

*Try to drink only water. Water is essential to your health. But you already knew that, right? :)

*The water should be room temperature. Not cold. Not hot. Room temperature. If you can't make the water room temperature (for example, if you're drinking from a water fountain) then try to keep it in your mouth a little while to make it warmer.

*The water should be drunk in small sips and not used to wash down food. Basically, don't drink HUGE gulps. Just small sips.

*On social occasions you may drink beer or wine. :beer:




-Eat normally for lunch and dinner-

*Dinner must be eaten by 8 pm at the latest (6 p.m. is better).

*There are no limits on the types of food you can eat for lunch and dinner, or the amount. But I think it would help a lot if you tried to eat healthier.

*No dessert.

*Don't eat too much. Eat only until you're satisfied.

*Chew your banana and other food thoroughly and be mindful of its taste. Basically, don't wolf down your food, and actually taste the food you're eating.




-You may eat an afternoon snack-

*A sweet snack of chocolate, cookies, or the like is allowed at about 3 p.m.

*Ice cream, a donut, or potato chips are a no no. :donut:

*Some people eat fresh fruit for their snack instead, but if you want sweets then that's ok. Don't deny yourself.

*If you get hungry after dinner, then you can have a second snack of fresh fruit. But don't make this a habit.




-Early to bed-

*Go to bed by midnight. If you can manage to go to bed earlier, all the better. :sleep:

*Try to aim for a four-hour period between your last meal or snack and bedtime (which is why 8:00 p.m. is the latest you should eat dinner.




-Exercise only if you want to-

*Put no pressure on yourself to exercise. It only causes stress.

*If you want to exercise, go ahead. The point is to do what puts the least stress on you.

*Try to get some walking in every day if possible. But don't force yourself if it stresses you out.




Well there you have it! It's really quite simple. Also, keep a diet journal if you want to.

lol those were all from like 6th grade. lol the majority of my gallery contsists mainly of your old pics. btw do u still want them on there? i could take them off if you want me to.
